    Tetrafluoron, a compressible inert gas lacking color, odor, and flammability, enables material processing including silicon, SiO₂, Si₃N₄, PSG, and tungsten film etching. Its industrial uses span electronic component cleansing, photovoltaic cell fabrication, and precision laser applications. It also plays critical roles in gas-phase insulation, cryogenic refrigeration, space rocket attitude control, and printed circuit board detergent processes.

    In the electrolytic synthesis of sulfur hexafluoride, technicians directly add sulfur to a fluorine electrolytic cell, where it reacts to form a KHF₂-HF-S mixture. Subsequent purification steps yield high-purity SF₆. When electrolytically melting this mixture, the fluorine produced immediately reacts with the sulfur in the electrolyte and generates SF6. After adding the sulfur, the electrolytic voltage of the electrolytic cell does not increase, nor does it cause current loss..
